We managed to purchase a copy of your book via Amazon and I'm halfway through it. I
very much admire your literary skills and your memories of your life at
sea. I don't think I would have the patience or courage to catalogue my
life and activities as an engineering apprentice in the early fifties!!

Got a copy through Amazon at last... Great read, I couldn't put it down & really enjoyed it !
Threw me a bit as it's not chronological, but for me it's great as I then couldn't guess what's coming next !!

Relieved that you didn't get your own back on me when we swapped bikes for the day & the Farmer
chased us ! Or when I nudged you on the bonnet of my Ford Anglia whilst you were cycling along !
I still cringe at the thought !!

Super for me to hear about your exploits when away from Stone, on the ships & in South Africa etc...
I'm sure you would have enough Tickner tall tales as Ox would say, to fill 6 volumes !!
